Summer is here and in full swing on the island.
As expected, it has been a slower start to the season with the travel restrictions; however we have already seen a steady flow of holiday makers flocking to the island.
The excitement of the summer brings new revived energy to the island. The beaches are busy, the harbour’s are dotted with yachts and the villages have a hype of activity.
As people emerge from their siesta in the early evening, they take to the town square for a night out enjoying the local delights of traditional taverna’s and that real sense of ‘island life’ sets in.

We love the summer months and connecting with our community and clients – so we are busy and in full swing too.
Many clients incorporate their holiday with property viewings, initiating or finalising of contracts where they become proud owners of a small part of Ithaca and call it home.

Even though Ithaca is the second smallest island in the Ionian, the island caters for everyone, from large family reunions to a romantic getaway for two and everything in between.
There are many daytime activities to enjoy such as kayaking, snorkeling and diving with a guide, for a little exploring you could rent a speedboat and zip around the island and discover idyllic hidden beaches and coves.
And let’s not forget the numerous early morning or evening walks where you can watch the landscape change colour in the glow of the sun dipping in or out of the horizon.

The night life on the island is just as buzzy and fun-filled as the days are.
The bigger towns such as Vathi and Stavros, home of MV properties, come to life as evening approaches. The seaside villages of Frikes and Kioni capture the romance of the island at night.
If you are looking for a quieter evening, head up to the mountainside villages of Perachori, Exoghi or Anoghi and sit back and watch the beautiful night’s sky descend upon the island.

Unfortunately, summer holidays cannot last forever, however the memory of them certainly can.
Ithaki is known to capture the hearts of her visitors young and old; her mystical legacy will keep you intrigued and will always leave you wanting to come back for more until you do eventually find your Ithaca.
